Business Analyst

Summary:

Voith US Inc. is seeking a creative and results-driven Business Analyst to support in strategic pricing and sales initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering, managing, and analyzing paper machine clothing (PMC) and roll data. This person will use the data to develop insights and implement process improvements with a special emphasis on pricing. They will collaborate with a variety of department stakeholders and support in data-driven decision making.

Your tasks:

• Utilize data and current systems to understand current state and potential process improvement initiatives
• Translate requests into clear user stories to work with Voith Information Technology department on software development for sustainable solutions; with a focus on pricing and the offer-to-order(OTO) phase
• Develop price strategies which align with market conditions and business goals
• Maintain and improve the pricing calculators in collaboration with Sr. Manager of Business Strategy and Customer Support
• Document and provide process and system trainings for improvements
• Support the Customer Service and Sales Teams on pricing related questions, providing accurate prices
• Update commercial terms (pricing, payment terms) in JD Edwards (or applicable ERP software) for each item number
• Calculate pricing for request for proposals (RFPs)
• Collaborate and communicate with key stakeholders across the company (sales, customer service, operations, design engineering, and finance) to understand current processes and future needs
  • Maintain the Sales Agreement database which houses all corporate agreements. Proactively monitor, advise, and manage upcoming contract expiration timelines as well as pricing increases. (Global Vision & Share Point)
• Provide monthly and quarterly reports for specific corporate accounts
• Foster a culture of innovation, reliability fairness, ambition and sustainability

Your profile:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office software, JD Edwards or experience is a plus
• Ability to see-through projects from conception to closure
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Exposure to artificial intelligence technologies preferred, with a strong enthusiasm and willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new advancements in the field.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field
• 6+ years of related work experience, including analytic reporting and customer interaction, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
