Work Environment

The organizational unit “I/PI-S | Control Plant Ingolstadt” centrally coordinates and shapes activities and strategic as well as operational developments in the areas of cost and personnel control, quality and process management, and risk management for the entire Ingolstadt plant. This includes the analysis center, vehicle production, module/system production, site control Münchsmünster, press shop, and launch control. We, as plant control, are the direct interface to the plant management Ingolstadt. Additionally, we are responsible for vehicle control/program planning, process optimization/KVP/training center, and industrial engineering for the Ingolstadt plant. The collaboration with various departments to inspire creative ideas for optimizations is essential.

Tasks involve personnel requirement plans as well as the planning, coordination and implementation of monthly targets as well as supporting with necessary analyses, data preparations, evaluations, briefing documents, and/or decision documents all hierarchy levels. A strong affinity for numbers and excellent analytical skills are essential for this role.

Job Purpose/Role
  • You will complete a first project within your target field Plant Steering.
  • In course of the trainee program you will work independently on up to four more projects in various divisions of the company, one of them at a VW Group brand abroad and another at another company of the VW Group in Germany. Throughout these assignments you will get to know process partners and interfaces for your future position.
  • In addition, you will complete short modules in different areas of the company (e. g. assembly)
  • You will engage in various working groups within the Graduate Trainee Community
  • After completing the program, you will take on your position in the target field Plant Steering.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
  • University degree from an accredited university in in Business Psychology, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or Digital Business

  • Above-average academic performance

  • Minimum of three months of international experience during your academic program through internships or a semester abroad

  • Practical experience of at least six months through relevant internships

  • Fluent English and business fluent German language required

  • Relevant extra-curricular commitment
