Work Environment

Procurement at AUDI AG is one of the company’s main pillars. The department is responsible for the value-based procurement of purchased parts, capital goods, and services. We are the central point of contact for the specialist departments and suppliers.

Within General Procurement, the Marketing & Travel Management sub-department is specifically responsible for all procurement activities related to Audi’s brand and sales strategy, as well as all press activities worldwide.

This includes the procurement of all communication activities and creative services across all analog/digital channels worldwide, starting with digital marketing and media placements in the digital Audi world, all printing services such as mailings, magazines, and brochures, as well as market research topics and photo and film productions for our new car presentations.

The Event Management department also oversees all events and functions where Audi is represented. This includes the procurement of event agencies, exhibition architects, and stand builders, as well as the on-site media technology required for all Audi events and exhibitions worldwide.

The task, of selecting the best partners in the global procurement markets in terms of technology, quality, prices, innovations, and flexibility presents us new challenges every day.

As a future purchaser for marketing services, you are responsible for the procurement of all types of services for the marketing department.

  • You will create procurement market screening and innovation management.

  • You conduct international supplier tenders with modern e-procurement solutions in close coordination with internal departments.

  • You lead price negotiations and make award decisions within the national and international VW Group purchasing committees.

  • You support contract design and interface management between Audi’s specialist departments and suppliers.

  • Through continuous analysis of your procurement responsibility and the use of market analyses, you identify existing potentials and derive procurement strategies to implement them together with the marketing and press departments.

  • You bring in your ideas and know-how for sustainable process optimization.

  • Furthermore, you network within the group and take on cross-brand topics.

Job Purpose/Role
  • You will complete a first project within your target field General Procurement Marketing & Travel Management
  • In course of the program you will work independently on up to four more projects in various divisions of the company, one of them at a VW Group brand abroad and another at another company of the VW Group in Germany. Throughout these assignments you will get to know process partners and interfaces for your future position.
  • In addition, you will complete short modules in different areas of the company (e. g. assembly)
  • You will engage in various working groups within the Graduate Trainee Community
  • After completing the program, you will take on your position in the target field General Procurement Marketing & Travel Management.
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
  • University degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Engineering or similar required

  • Above-average academic performance

  • Ideally, you have already gained experience either in procurement, in the marketing environment of a company or at an event-, communication- or creative agency and would like to bring this experience to the procurement department of Audi AG.

  • You have above-average rhetorical and presentation skills.

  • Teamwork, initiative and commitment are not just empty phrases for you.

  • You are convincing with your negotiation skills, have a clear view of your goals and can achieve them even in difficult situations.

  • You are responsible and act independently.

  • Minimum of three months of international experience during your academic program through internships or a semester abroad

  • Practical experience of at least six months through relevant internships

  • Fluent English and Language proficiency in German at a minimum B2+, ideally C1

  • Relevant extra-curricular commitment
