Work Environment

The organizational unit "I/PI-MC | Central functions of the Ingolstadt plant" centrally coordinates and designs the activities and strategic developments in the areas of quality and process management as well as personnel and costs in close coordination for the areas of production, body construction, paint shop, assembly and PI-MC operational functions. In addition, we are responsible for the central functional areas of Process House/Vehicle Detailing, Trade Fair & Press, Vehicle Preparation, Customer Center.

Job Purpose/Role
  • You will complete a first project within your target field “Central functions of the Ingolstadt plant”
  • In course of the program you will work independently on up to four more projects in various divisions of the company, one of them at a VW Group brand abroad and another at another company of the VW Group in Germany. Throughout these assignments you will get to know process partners and interfaces for your future position.
  • In addition, you will complete short modules in different areas of the company (e. g. assembly)
  • You will engage in various working groups within the Graduate Trainee Community
  • After completing the program, you will take on your position in the target field “Central functions of the Ingolstadt plant”
Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
  • University degree from an accredited university in industrial engineering, business informatics, business psychology or business administration

  • Above-average academic performance

  • You have knowledge in the preparation of regular KPI reports

  • You have an independent, structured and analytical way of working and a strong affinity of numbers

  • Minimum of three months of international experience during your academic program through internships or a semester abroad

  • Practical experience of at least six months through relevant internships

  • Fluent English and German spoken and written

  • Relevant extra-curricular commitment

  • Passion for future mobility solutions
