The Audible Legal team works in a dynamic environment where pioneering on behalf of our customers is at the heart of everything we do.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
As Associate Corporate Counsel you will be a key member of Audible’s European and wider global legal teams. You will have a broad remit including business development, marketing, product, and regulatory counsel, and more. You will work on a variety of complicated and sophisticated transactions. And will provide strategic and legal advice across a wide range of issues.
We are looking for candidates who are customer-obsessed, enjoy being challenged, work independently while being team players, and deliver pragmatic and practical advice in ambiguous situations.
As an Associate Corporate Counsel, you will...
- Structure, draft, negotiate, and review a variety of complex commercial agreements
- Provide legal counsel on product and service initiatives and launches
- Lead Audible’s response to regulatory developments impacting our European operations, also in close alignment with colleagues from the global Audible legal as well as other Amazon legal teams
- Maintain and develop standard contract forms, policies and processes
- Instruct and manage external counsel

- German, UK, French, Italian, or Spanish qualified lawyer
- Training and 2+ years’ post-qualification experience with an international law firm or highly regarded in-house team
- Business fluency in written and spoken English and German
- Experience supporting a digital media or content business as a member of, or on secondment to, an in-house team, including advising on consumer and marketing law matters
- Superior drafting, negotiation, organizational, analytical and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently while also contributing successfully to cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in an additional European language (in particular French, Spanish, Italian)
