Position overview

Porsche Cars North America, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and passionate intern to join our Area South/Central field team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain experience within dealership operations while also contributing to the enhancement of the customer experience at Porsche Centers within the Area. This internship will be responsible for supporting all Porsche Center facility projects within Area South/Central, with specific focus on updating dealership showrooms to the latest corporate image design. This intern will collaborate with corporate architecture and the area field team, to develop the best program implementation possible, dependent upon each individual Dealer’s need. Assist in tracking these projects to ensure seamless installations that elevate the customer experience within our Porsche Centers.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Coordinate directly with Dealers and their respective project managers, for all elements related to showroom upgrades and visual merchandising across the seventy-seven Porsche Centers within Area South/Central.
  • Track/monitor installations via a reporting tool of your design.
  • Work closely with the Area South/Central field team to ensure that Porsche’s long term network planning goals are addressed.
  • Provide Dealers with showroom specific curated lists of required elements and ensure dealership readiness prior to installation.
  • Coordinate with Porsche approved vendors to ensure Dealers are receiving the necessary information and compliant product related to their specific needs (ie. furniture, signage, digital screens).
  • Following installations, assist Dealer team on-site with set-up of visual merchandising, including, but not limited to, vehicle accessories, lifestyle items, greenery, books and various décor.

Qualifications

Education:

College degree in Business or Marketing, or the equivalent education and experience.

Skills:

  • Strong interest in the automotive industry, customer experience, and luxury brands
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and record keeping skills
  • Organized, highly detailed with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Must be willing and able to travel, including overnight.

Percentage of required travel: 10%

Schedule: Full-time

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
