Area Manager, Maintenance
York, PA

Summary –

The Area Manager, Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance of the plant, buildings and grounds, and all equipment. Primary duties include maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel. The Area Manager, Maintenance will ensure that site facilities, production machinery, and equipment meet or exceed production requirements while conforming to TPM, PMs, and regulatory requirements, at minimum operating costs. Floor Time – 60% or greater.

Responsibilities –

  • Prioritizes maintenance activities and required resources
  • Identifies training needs to improve reliability, performance, and KPI’s
  • Driver of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and metrics
  • Responsible for maintenance budget and Capital and Expense planning
  • Accountable of meeting or exceeding business targets

Qualifications –

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related field) and/or 8 years relative experience
  • 5+ years in manufacturing management
  • Electrical Engineering / Controls experience is a preferred
  • Experience managing a team preferred

Physical Demands –

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the key actions of job.

  • The employee is also required to talk and/or hear in a manufacturing setting (noise level is high). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk in an manufacturing environment from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
  • The vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
  • The employee may be required to lift objects up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and perform other tasks related to an industrial environment.

The job may require travel.
