Key job responsibilities
We are looking for Applied Scientists who are passionate to solve highly ambiguous and challenging problems at a global scale. You will be responsible for major science challenges for our team, including forecasting, ranking and recommendations. You will design, develop, deliver and support a variety of models in collaboration with a variety of roles and partner teams around the world. You will influence scientific direction and best practices and maintain quality on team deliverables.
* Develop and refine LLM-based agents capable of handling complex, multi-step tasks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLM agents into various business processes and applications
* Improve the LLMs multilingual and multimodal capabilities to support a global marketplace
* Identify and mitigate potential risks and biases in LLM agent behavior
* Optimize agent performance for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
A day in the life
You will work alongside internationally recognized experts, Applied Scientists, Product Managers, Technical Program Managers and Business Intelligence engineers to create solutions/models that will dramatically reduce the time and cost of feature launches while expanding Amazon across the EU and WW. You will partner with talented scientists and engineers that are innovating on advanced AI platforms.
About the team
Amazon's EU International Technology (EU INTech) Expansions team are builders focused on Amazon store expansions, with a strong culture of creating efficiencies. Our passion for technology and collaborative spirit make us key contributor to the INTech's worldwide portfolio.
- PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML or related field
- Experience in building models for business application
- Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
- Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in any of the following areas: algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Java or Perl
- Experience using Unix/Linux
- Experience with generative deep learning models applicable to the creation of synthetic humans like CNNs, GANs, VAEs and NF
