Indra is the central program driving the introduction and safe scaling of AI at DB. Focus is identify AI potential across various banking operations, driving funded use cases into production to create value and confidence and scale across the bank, creating selected shared services with embedded safety to enable low cost scale, developing an AI Workbench for developers for safe AI development at pace, and introducing AI controls whilst aiming to maintain time to market.

The AI Safety Busienss Analyst (f/m/x) supports the implementation of AI governance frameworks by streamlining the AI use case review process and optimizing controls. This role ensures alignment with risk policies, regulatory expectations, and internal governance, contributing to the safe and responsible use of AI within the organization.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and operationalizing AI risk management frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

  • Conduct risk assessments for AI use cases, ensuring compliance with internal governance policies and engagement with First and Second Lines of Defence.

  • Track evolving AI regulations, industry standards, and ethical considerations, ensuring timely updates to internal controls and governance mechanisms.

  • Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency, reduce risk exposure, and strengthen AI model governance.

  • Assist in defining, measuring, and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) for AI risk management.

  • Work closely with risk, compliance, data science, and technology teams to support AI safety initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure AI-related governance policies and controls are effectively implemented and adhered to across business functions.

Your skills and experiences

  • Years of experience as a Business Analyst in Risk & Control space

  • Strong understanding of AI risk management frameworks, governance best practices, and regulatory expectations.

  • Experience in implementing and improving operational risk controls within AI or technology-driven environments.

  • Ability to analyze AI risk data, generate reports, and provide insights to senior management.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with risk, compliance, and technology teams.

  • Experience in translating AI-related regulatory requirements into actionable policies and processes.

  • Ability to assess AI-related risks, propose mitigations, and support strategic decision-making.
